#Chilproof Your Home Office

This article was originaly written by Valerie Holstein, one of our  BrainBosomsBlossoms members, about the importance of #child# safety in the house, particularly in the home office.

Many teething babies and toddlers like to spend time crawling under the home office desk. They are often time attracted to the flashing computer and router lights and like to hang out in the cozy space right by mommy’s side. Few, yet too many young children lose their life every year due to strangulation with #wires, #cables and mini blinds’ #cords.

Valerie, a mother and business owner, experienced first hand the dangers of cords and wires laying around her house. Her child used to chew cables to soothe her teething pain. Despite hiding lamp cords behind furniture, she saw first hand her baby daughter seconds away from being hit on the head by a heavy iron cast lamp in her living room. One of the remedies was to secure the excess cord under heavy furniture while putting a product called wire loom around cords to prevent electrocution.

Running a small business out of her house while raising her child on her home while her husband was on business trips prompted her to #childproof her desk to ensure the safety of her child and dogs. She shares her favorite child and #kid-friendly #cable management products. Please repost, retweet, e-mail anyone with a small child or a baby. It could save a life.

“PICK” AND “COLOR ” YOUR BLUEPRINTS

zen garden

make the blueprints

If your thoughts are disjointed and unfocused, the results you get will be meager and mostly meaningless. If your thoughts are filled with negativity and worry, your life will faithfully express your greatest fears.

Fortunately, you can do much, much better, and it’s really not so difficult at all. You can choose, right now and as often as you wish, to fill your mind with positive, empowering thoughts.

All it takes is the will to do so. It is so easy to choose your thoughts, it seems almost trivial, and yet the results are anything but trivial.

When the blueprints are well designed, the building will be a strong, beautiful, functional structure. When your thoughts are consistently well chosen, your life will be consistently rich and fulfilling.

You can choose any thought, any time you wish. Remind yourself often to stick with those thoughts that continue to build your life into one that’s truly great. ONE STEP AT A TIME

“All about Indian Breads”

time for indian bread

Hi All,

Due to popular demand, I have opened a new class “All About Indian Breads” on Saturday, May 7th (a day before Mother’s Day – Great gift for Mother’s Day) from 5-8PM. You will learn how to make different breads – sweet, savory, plain, stuffed bread and the ever popular Naan bread! These are very healthy breads using different flours such as Chickpea Flour (gluten-free), Semolina, 100% Whole Wheat Flour, etc. along with exotic spices and herbs. It is a 100% hands-on class. This is an absolute fun class. Seating is limited.

BTW, I will be at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden – Food and Garden Festival, this Saturday, May 7th, from 2-3PM to do a cooking demo – http://www.ayeshaskitchen.com/upcoming_events/fairchild_tropical_botanic_garden. I look forward to seeing you.

Please contact me if you are interested in the Bread class.

Thanks,
